Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. It was initially constituted with an aim for providing qualitative, value based and uniform education to Transferable Central Govt employees exclusively. But of late, other then Central Govt employees wards are also are allowed to make entry upto certain extent as per KVS rules.
Since its inception KVS has maintained its quality through a more scientific and judicious syllabus framed by NCERT, an apex educational policy making institution of international repute. The examination system has been streamlined with CBSE.
Almost four decades of functioning of KVS have brought the school education to a new height with a galaxy of qualified and experienced faculty members starting from Primary to Senior Secondary level besides introduction of Vocational syllabus in few selected Vidyalayas with always striving for excellence by implementing the best of educational research in school curriculum.
During these days almost all the KV`s have gone Hi –Tech and the concept of smart school and model school by keeping pace with the latest development of the educational system of the country.
Due to strong administrative policy of its own,each and every faculty member from the entire length and breadth of the country have joined the organization and thereby developing the spirit of national integration which has become a great asset for character building of KV Students. With a common split up of syllabus as well as the timing in all the Vidyalayas have made it easier for framing a common examination schedule which has added further strength to its growth for a much prospective new millennium.
